Fantastic experience: Weddings of Distinction were our furniture provider for our wedding in the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne this year. They were very professional, easy to communicate with in the lead up and well priced. They were excellent on the day and everything was set up perfectly. They set up and packed down within the short bump in and bump out timeframe allowed by the Botanic Gardens without any issue. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Weddings of Distinction for event furniture hire.

Fantastic experience: Weddings of Distinction – A Truly Exceptional Experience We recently celebrated our daughter’s wedding in March 2025, and I now realise how invaluable a professional wedding planner truly is. Initially, I hesitated at the idea, thinking it was an extra cost we could avoid. But as the planning unfolded, the stress began to mount and I quickly saw cracks forming in my decision-making and overall flow. I had shortlisted a few planners, but for some reason, the first call I made was to Weddings of Distinction. I spoke with Renata, the Director, and that 45-minute phone conversation changed everything. Her calm, insightful approach instantly reassured me that we were in good hands. Renata invited us to her warehouse,a beautifully curated space showcasing an incredible range of products used to bring a wedding vision to life. From chairs and candles to archways and platforms, everything you could imagine was thoughtfully displayed. Renata coordinated the entire wedding seamlessly, managing everything from bump-in and bump-out times to liaising with the venue. No detail was too small, and every request was handled with care and precision. Beyond her expertise and professionalism, Renata brought warmth, respect, and genuine kindness to the entire process. She was there throughout the ceremony and stayed for the entire evening, ensuring everything ran smoothly, and it did, perfectly. We truly could not have created such a special day without her. Fantastic experience: We hired Weddings of Distinction very, very last minute to provide umbrellas in case of rain for our wedding ceremony. I got in touch with the team on Thursday, with the wedding on Saturday and a public holiday on Friday. The team was super friendly and helpful in responding to me quickly, ensuring they had the stock and providing the required supplier information for me to send to my venue as well.

Fantastic experience: We worked with the wonderful Weddings of Distinction team for our wedding in December and couldn’t recommend them more. We had an extremely hot day and had to add more umbrellas, water stations etc a few days out from the wedding. The team were so flexible and made the whole process stress free. They set up our ceremony beautifully and we couldn’t be happier!

Fantastic experience: We had such a great experience with WoD for our wedding day. We hired furniture for our ceremony, and Renata was our wedding coordinator. She was so competent and ensured the day went without a hitch. Thank you so much!

Negative experience: Of all our suppliers we dealt with organizing our wedding, Weddings of Distinction were the only ones we regret engaging. Prices are extortionate ($300 for 50 water bottles at the ceremony, almost $900 for four large umbrellas) and almost always include additional “labor” fees that aren’t advertised on the website (e.g. $30 extra labor for water bottles?). We organised for a lectern to be supplied for our reception speeches which was accidentally packed down and taken from site after our ceremony. After our reception coordinators contacted Weddings of Distinction to correct their mistake and bring the lectern back, they said they would only do so if we personally delivered it back to them on our wedding night. It was a small thing, and was ultimately not missed, but the absolute lack of care shown by the Weddings of Distinction team after paying for what should be a premium service is extremely disappointing. To top it off, they refuse to refund us the $30 odd dollars for the lack of lectern as we never word-for-word specified in our written contract it was for the reception (what else would a lectern for speeches be used for), and that if we had told them that, they would have charged an extra collection fee (I’m sure at some ridiculous rate). They have graciously also let us know 3 missing umbrellas that they failed to collect from guests at the end of our ceremony would have incurred another fee. They will pass all responsibility on to you for everything and take as much money as they can for it (sometimes at literally 500% markup)! Avoid if your venue allows you to.

Their communication is fantastic as is their range of hire items, not to mention their execution is on point. Our ceremony and reception looked phenomenal thanks to the team at Weddings of Distinction, honestly I would have been lost without them. Thank you so much for everything!

Not only was the set up exactly as we requested, communication and the booking process was super easy. We changed what we wanted to hire quite a few times adding on bits and pieces with super easy and fast communication from the team at Weddings of Distinction. We had drinks we wanted at the ceremony site which we were able to drop off a few days before the wedding to Weddings of Distinction for them to place at the site ready to go on the day. Everything was done to exactly what we asked and could not have been better. We highly recommend the team at Weddings of Distinction for any event you have coming up.

Fantastic experience: We had the pleasure of working with Alice and Renata for our wedding and I couldn't be happier with their service. We initially only planned to hire the wedding items but eventually decided to also take up their planning & coordinating package and we're so glad we did that. The entire planning process was prompt, pleasant and professional. One thing that definitely sets them apart from the other companies is the huge showroom that they have - it's a great way to showcase all the hired items as it also helps you visualise the day. Alice and Renata made our day so much more relaxing because we were able to enjoy the day and focus on the better things as we knew we were in good hands and that we could always count on them to ensure the day went smoothly and it did, well and beyond!

They had experience setting up in the same location and really made us feel at ease with what ever requests we had for the set up.
