Negative experience: "I would give zero stars if I could. We were charged a premium price ($500) for budget-quality items. We paid an extra $80 for an acrylic sign that was peeling/bubbling. The light-up numbers were cardboard. The owner’s refusal to communicate—ghosting my texts and hanging up the phone mid-conversation—is incredibly disrespectful. For a $500 hire fee, you expect a professional product and professional conduct. We received neither." My reply back to you and again you had time to write back to me online but no phone call, message or email "Calling someone out for providing poor quality is not 'abuse.' My frustration stems from paying $500 for a milestone 21st birthday only to receive a bubbling, defective acrylic sign and cardboard light-up numbers. Yes, I told you it was a horrible thing to do—because as a mother, seeing my daughter’s special day dampened by low-quality decor that we paid a premium for is devastating. Instead of acknowledging the bubbling on the sign or the material of the numbers, you chose to hang up on me and now mischaracterize my messages. A professional business would offer to fix the product or provide a partial refund, not ghost a client and then claim 'harassment' when held accountable for the quality they delivered."

Fantastic experience: We had the pleasure of working with French Affair for our wedding on August 31st, 2024, at the Wynnum Wetlands Birdhide, and they did an incredible job! Julie and her team provided a stunning setup for our ceremony, arranging chairs with beautiful ribbons for our 18 guests. The attention to detail and the care they put into their work really stood out. It made our special day even more magical. Fantastic experience: Julie is a pleasure to work with and so understanding and accommodating with what we wanted. Delivery and pick up was seamless. The wine barrels, tables and chairs were in great condition. The service is affordable and definitely worth the 5 stars.

Julie & Larry went above and beyond, transforming the restaurant into an idylic oasis with the colours and elegance of the mediterranean making this the perfect venue for an intimate wedding ceremony or large reception and party. Fantastic experience: I wish I found French Affair hire sooner!! We hired glassware for our wedding and I looked at every option in greater Brisbane (and tweed!) for options and Julie’s products were the only ones that were beautiful (when you look at glassware hire options you’ll know what I mean!) and at a great price and super easy process for select/hire/pickup and drop off. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or rehire. Thank you so very much
Fantastic experience: Julie was so great to work with!!! I had last minute plans to do a birthday celebration and needed tables and chairs ASAP. Julie was so prompt with her response and was so accommodating about pick up and return time. I was able to pick up the tables and chairs the next day and she even let me have a look at other decor items she had, which I also ended up hiring Honestly great service. Would recommend 100%
